Fuel price hike: Karnataka joins Rajasthan, Andhra and West Bengal, cuts petrol and diesel prices by Rs 2

Domestic fuel prices have been on the rise since mid-August due to various factors including rupee depreciation, high excise duty and rise in crude oil rates.
The variation in prices in different states is primarily due to different rates of VAT.
