Currently, the government is looking to extradite fugitives Nirav Modi, Mehul Choksi and Vijay Mallya who fled the country after they defaulted on repaying massive loans.

Jitendra Kumar Ojha, a former research and analysis wing (RAW) officer, has alleged that the government failed to extradite wanted Indians from Britain due to the obstructions arising from within the system, Business Standard reported.
Ojha presented letters and documents to two RAW secretaries on the cases he had worked for, but they 'inexplicably' did not proceed any further, the report said.
In the case of Hanif Patel, who was allegedly involved in the serial bomb blasts in Surat, Ojha wrote a letter to former RAW secretary but despite achieving success in the case in three judiciary levels of Britain, the Gujarat police 'had closed the matter'.
In the case of Ravi Shankaran, who allegedly stole material from the Indian Navy's War Room and shared it with the country's enemies, Ojha said the case was revived after six years and was lying dormant before that.
Currently, the government is looking to extradite fugitives Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi - who were involved in the $2 billion Punjab National Bank (PNB) fraud - and Vijay Mallya - who failed to repay Rs 9,000 crore to lenders - and fled the country after they defaulted on repaying massive loans.
A senior officer at RAW told the paper that Ojha was terminated after an internal assessment found him unfit to continue.
