The Congress-led UPA government in February 2010 signed a contract with helicopter maker AgustaWestland, a UK-based company.
The deal was to buy 12 AW101 helicopters for the Indian Air Force for Rs 3,600 crore.
In 2014, the UPA government cancelled the deal with the company on grounds that the integrity of the pact was violated.
