The ministry was handed over to Piyush Goyal in the absence of Jaitley.
According to the Bloomberg report, the finance minister's north block office on the first-floor is being renovated and sanitised so that Jaitley is protected from infections.
His three-month recovering period, as prescribed by doctors, will end by mid-August, the report added.
