Hindustan Unilever, one of the country's largest fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) company, on Monday reported its June quarter results.
Here are few key takeaways from the earnings:
HUL's revenue rose to Rs 9,622 crore, up 3.07% on a year-on-year basis.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 21% to Rs 2,252 crore.
HUL's comparable domestic sales rose 16% Y-o-Y during the June quarter.
Underlying volume growth has come in at 12% Y-o-Y.
Rural growth is still not back to historic growth rates, but rural is growing faster than urban on a low base, the company said.
The company said that the ongoing crude volatility and currency led inflation are key risks going ahead.
HUL said, it sees step up in competitive intensity in the near future.
HUL said, it will focus on premiumisation and natural segment to drive growth.
