BHEL Q4 net profit rises 49% as deferred taxes, inventories decline

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited reported a 49 percent jump in its net profit at Rs 682.70 crore for the quarter ended March 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 457.17 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The state-run engineering firm's total income increased 0.64 percent YoY (year-on-year basis) to Rs 10,418 crore from Rs 10,351 crore last year.
The company’s EBITDA improved by 6 percent YoY to Rs 1,516 crore as against Rs 1,429 crore during quarter ended March 2018.
