Most users tweeted a video clip in which the prime minister is seen consoling an emotional ISRO chief Sivan, a gesture hailed by Twitterati, who, using the hashtag Chandrayaan2, said we may have lost connection with Vikram, but hope remains for future missions.
'ISRO may have lost lander, rover'
Speaking to PTI, a senior official closely associated with the mission, said: "There is no communication with the lander. It's as good as lost. There is no hope. Very, very difficult to re-establish contact."
