The world celebrated the photography day on August 19 to commemorate the art, craft, science and history of photography. Since the invention of the camera in the 19th century, photography has become a medium of expression that captures people, places and events. The photography day aims to inspire artists and photographers around the world to share a simple picture that speaks a thousand words. Here are some of the best pictures from Associated Press:
