Delta Corp is buzzing in trade and the stock is up 30 percent this month and around 112 percent in the past year. To discuss the business outlook, CNBC-TV18 spoke to Jaydev M Mody, Chairman of the company.
Speaking about the online gaming division Mody said, “We will do better than we did in 2020 and we had a spike in numbers earlier in the lockdown after which it kind of levelled off.”
“Going forward we see it going well, and we are adding a platform where we will do many more skill games etc. We are leaders in Poker right now and our partners with Nazara in a company called Halaplay Technologies which does fantasy and we think it is a future, it will take time to regulate it but it is going in the right direction.”
On margins and revenues, Mody said, “Online gaming will also get competitive therefore Corps will go up and margins may come down a little bit. But the business will grow, it will become a volume game and the topline will keep growing, bottom-line may remain the same even with the higher volume.”
