Vistara is likely to acquire 16 planes, including 10 Boeing 777 aircraft, from cash-strapped Jet Airways, Business Standard has reported.

Tata-Singapore Airline joint venture airline Vistara is likely to acquire 16 planes, including 10 Boeing 777 aircraft, from cash-strapped Jet Airways, Business Standard has reported. If the plan materialises, Vistara will use the aircraft for long haul international flights.
The airline is also planning to induct at least three Boeing 737 aircraft from Jet Airways. Acquisition of a few Airbus A330, wide-body planes is also a part of Vistara's fleet acquisition plan, the report said.
If Vistara's fleet acquisition strategy comes to fruition, it will use the aircraft for international long haul flights to Europe and North America. Earlier, the airline was looking to induct the aircraft for short-haul (less than five hours) international flights but the plans seem to have changed, the report added.
For its long haul international routes, Vistara has also ordered six Boeing 787 Dreamliners to add to its fleet. Their induction will begin only from January 2020.
