Crisis-hit Jet Airways has temporarily withdrawn lounge access to its Gold and Platinum members. The members will no longer be able to access the lounges at any of the airline's station effective December 1, 2018.
"Effective December 1, 2018, we have revised our complimentary lounge access policy for guests travelling in Economy," the company said on its website, adding "Complimentary lounge access for JetPrivilege Platinum and Gold members travelling in Economy will be temporarily suspended."
However, if you are travelling on a premium cabin ticket, issued in cash or miles, lounge access will be given to you.
The move came a few days after the Jet Airways passengers denied lounge access in Mumbai Airport due to airline's unpaid dues. But the company said it has reinstated lounge access for First Class and Premiere passengers who are using the Mumbai Airport with immediate effect.
The First Class and Premiere passengers who are travelling in flights operated by Jet Airways' codeshare/interline partner airlines will continue to be offered the lounge access the company added.
Jet Airways is grappling with financial woes and is in discussions with several investors for raising funds.
