“As a part of our endeavour to strengthen domestic connectivity, we are delighted to launch direct flights from Ahmedabad to Bagdogra and Guwahati”, William Boulter, chief commercial officer, IndiGo, said in a statement.
IndiGo has been on a route expansion spree of late, having announced plans to start flights on the Kolkata-Hong Kong and Delhi-Chengdu routes in the last couple of days.
The budget carrier reported strong numbers in its Q4 earnings, posting a net profit of Rs 589.6 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2019 as against Rs 117.6 crore in the same period FY18.
IndiGo's Q4 numbers lived up to the analysts’ expectations who anticipated a strong quarter for the airline as a lot of business moved from the grounded Jet Airways to other carriers, including IndiGo.
