    The government has directed airlines operating in India not to board passengers from China or those with Chinese visas. The directive applies to all destinations in India.

    The government has directed airlines operating in India not to board passengers from China or those with Chinese visas. The directive applies to all destinations in India.
    The development comes in the wake of the rapid spread of coronavirus, which originated in China and has resulted in over 425 deaths so far.
    “All airlines are informed not to take on board any passenger from China, including Chinese or other foreign nationals who may be holding valid ETA/e-visa to board their aircraft for any destination in India,” a statement from the Bureau of Immigration, Ministry of Home Affairs stated.
