Government could ease restrictions on Air India stake sale

The government is open to tweaking the restrictive conditions for Air India sale if it sees it received a weak response after the May 14 deadline, Mint reported.
Though the government is believed to be open to tweaking the norms a bit, no changes in the terms of sale will be made if the company claims to opt of the bidding race for the state-owned airline.
For the companies who did not announce their interest in the airline before the deadline, will get a fresh chance, the report said, quoting sources.
