Etihad wants to open the JetPrivilege loyalty programme to other carriers as part of the rescue deal, reported Business Standard.

Etihad wants to open the JetPrivilege loyalty programme to other carriers as part of the rescue deal, reported Business Standard.
Jet Privilege Private Limited (JPPL), the company that manages the privilege program, is owned by Etihad.
Currently, the report said, JPPL sells miles to Jet Airways, its partner airlines, banks and hotels among others. It consists of 25 carriers that have a tie up with Jet.
However, they are not allowed to sell miles to carriers that are not partners of Jet because of an existing exclusivity clause in the deal. Etihad is asking the waiver of this clause to enable inclusion of more carriers, said the report.
The development comes at a time when Etihad is planning to release $35-million emergency funding to Jet that is facing severe liquidity crisis.
