Indian Motorcycle, owned by Polaris, has launched a special variant the Roadmaster Elite. Priced at Rs 48 lakh, (ex-showroom, Mumbai) the Roadmaster Elite, is the most expensive offering from the company in India.
The higher asking price is due to the the new look offers a dual-tone black-blue colour scheme, which the company claims it took close to 30 hours to finish. A 23k gold leaf badging is embossed on either side of the fuel tank and there’s a generous amount of chrome used to garnish the front bumpers and rear fenders.
There’s been no attempt to change the heart of the motorcycle, it runs on the same 1,811cc, Thunderstroke 111 engine, making 161.6Nm of peak torque at 3,000rpm.
Given that Roadmaster is the the company’s flagship motorcycle, the Elite comes with a host of features, which the regular Roadmaster poses such as the 7-inch touchscreen, infotainment system and an in-built 300W audio system with speakers in the fairing, trunk and saddlebags.
The Roadmaster Elite is also equipped with heated seats and grips, electrically adjustable windscreen, cruise control, navigation and remote locking saddle bags.
