Oval shaped headlamps, LED daytime running lights, vertical taillights with new detailing, and a slightly higher ground clearance are distinguishing features of the SUV.

Automaker BMW launched its second-generation Mini Countryman sports utility vehicle (SUV) at a price of Rs 34.9 Lakh, Ex-Showroom, Delhi, for the petrol variant.
BMW India has managed this attractive pricing due to the car's production being undertaken at the manufacturers’ Chennai plant.
The distinguishing features of this new Countryman from the previous model are revised oval shaped headlamps, LED daytime running lights, vertical taillights with new detailing, and a slightly higher ground clearance.
The car is now 200 mm longer and 30mm wider while the wheelbase has been extended by 75 mm.
The benefit of it all boils down to a generous 450 litre boot space which expands to 1309 litres with rear seats folded.
The vehicle also comes in a range of colour options including Light White, Island Blue, Thunder Grey, Melting Silver, Chilli Red and British Racing Green.
The infotainment system inside the cabin changes as per the model chosen, and will come with either a 6.5-inch or an 8.8-inch touchscreen system with satellite navigation. The system is compatible with Apple CarPlay.
The car also features drive modes, cruise control, parking assistance, a head-up display, cruise control and high beam assistant. Safety measures include front, side and curtain airbags.
The new Countryman comes with a petrol variant, Cooper S, and a diesel variant, Cooper SD.
The Mini Countryman Cooper costs SD 37.4 lakh, while the Mini Countryman Cooper S JCW costs 44.4 lakh.
The petrol variant gets a 2-litre twin power turbo, four-cylinder engine that puts out out 192HP/280Nm.
The Mini Countryman Cooper SD gets a 2-litre, four-cylinder engine that generates 190HP/400Nm.
The Cooper S variant clocks 100 kmph in 7.5 secs, and can reach a top speed of 220kmph. The SUV gets an eight-speed automatic steptronic transmission.
Considering the 2018 Mini Countryman is based on an all-new platform, the same as the latest BMW X1, and  given Mini cars are popular for a go-kart feel while driving, this new Countryman should feel sporty to drive as well.
