The all new Hyundai Santro
was launched on Tuesday in the price range of Rs 3.89 lakh and Rs 5.65 lakh.
The new version, which comes two decades after the initial model was launched in the country, retains its ‘tallboy’ stance in design and also its brand ambassador Shah Rukh Khan. The model by the Korean company has been one of the most successful hatchback models in the country.
The newly launched versions will come in both petrol and CNG variants. D-Lite, Era, Magna, Sports & Asta are petrol variants while Magna & Sports are CNG variants.
All the variants will come with key safety features such as driver-side airbag and ABS with EBD while the top of the line ‘Asta’ variant will come with additional features like dual front airbags, rear parking sensors with camera. In addition, both Magna and Asta will get 7 inch touchscreens.

The company informed in the launch event that it has already received orders worth three months of production in form of pre-booking process that had commenced on October 10.
The new models will come with a 1.1. litre 4-cylinder petrol motor making 69 PS of power at 5,500 rpm and a factory-fitted CNG option. It will also have two different transmission options that include 5-speed manual and 5- speed AMT.
